Shipping Policy

We will ship your product in 2-3 business days using UPS ground, or General Logistics Systems (GLS). From time to time, the weather, specifically heat, will be a factor which can delay shipping. Since prolonged exposure to temperatures above 75 degrees F will prematurely age and oxidize wine, reducing quality, we will postpone the shipment until cooler weather.

Another option is to include a cooling pack to help keep the temperature of the shipment down until delivered. This will be done when there are no cool temperatures in the coming week. It will also incur a fee.

Metas Altas is a small company. Someday we will expand shipping to beyond California, but until then, it remains a very expensive endeavor to obtain individual alcohol permits for each state we try to ship to. For fans of ours who reside outside of California, Thanks for your support!

Per California law, wine will not be delivered and left on the doorstep or in a mailbox. It must be signed for by someone above the age of 21. Some people choose to have their wine delivered to a business address since someone will likely be there during normal business hours. Do this, only if it's allowed by your place of employment.
